Emma Bates

Emma comes to us from Texas, landing in Los Angeles almost 10 years ago. An accomplished actress, Emma fell in love with Pilates as a way to stay in shape for the big and small screen. She trained under Maria and joined our studio in early 2007. She has dedicated herself to constantly learning new exercises and teaching methods for her clients, and became a certified post-operative breast cancer therapist in 2008. Her sessions are endlessly fun and challenging. Be prepared to work out your abs when you’re with Emma – not just from hundreds, but from laughter!

Kim Parker

Kim Parker has been teaching the methods of Joseph Pilates for 10 years. Trained and certified by the Physical Mind Institute in 1998. As a teacher, she encourages her students to stay attune to their bodies by taking notice of their strengths and weaknesses and to strive toward incorporating Pilates movements into their everyday lives.

Kim started studying Pilates after reading an article describing the theories of Joseph Pilates. Drawn to the total body-conditioning approach, Kim began mat classes at a local Los Angeles studio and quickly saw results. Along with noticeable body strength came a greater awareness of her movement and a newfound focus on her overall well-being. Having experienced the benefits firsthand, Kim decided to seek training as a certified Pilates instructor. Kimís Pilates students cite greater flexibility as well as weight loss and elimination of back pain.
